I made this pattern in size 6 for our 4 year old. He is not beyond average size for his age. Pattern goes together easy and pattern pieces fit nicely. My main complaint is that the pattern is too short. I would recommend to add at least 4 inches to the bottom of the pattern. Otherwise you have to either button the shirt to the pants or it will slip out and 'run free' around the waist.
